Our Team

 ReLace is a San Francisco 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by high school and middle school students. The inspiration for ReLace came from middle school twin brothers in the summer of 2023. As Roshan and Niam started needing sneakers for multiple sports and seeing their friends and family continue to buy more sneakers, they started to understand what happens to all the shoes we throw away. They learned about the harmful effects shoe waste has on our atmosphere, water, and earth. Additionally, they learned about the large number of people in the Bay Area community who don't have access to shoes. They decided to create ReLace in order to fight shoe waste and give back to the community.
